Wow! The hyper realist painted Simon Hennessey has some pretty cool stuff!
“My paintings are perceived as a reflection of reality but in truth the artwork transcends into its own abstraction of reality. Through using the camera as a visual source for painting I am able to create false illusions that are judged as our own reality.
The reduplication and the transformation of media such as a photographic language into a painted language, produces a meticulous calculation within the process of change. Through the mimetic representation of a photographic source I am able to produce paintings that are capable of deceiving the human eye.”

We have been working for a while now on creating videologs for Arch Rock Fish, a new seafood restaurant in Santa Barbara by HJL Group. Check out the first episode about the harbor and the dedication to quality that Arch Rock Fish employs as they chose only the freshest and finest fish for the menu. This was shot with the Canon 7D. Neon Robotic Studios helped facilitate all of the production and was edited at their studio in Los Angeles. We liked this project for several reasons, one being this new way to market a restaurant. Instead of doing reality-esque videos, we went from a mini-documentary standpoint, illustrating honesty and focusing on style.

Interesting design work with 007 mash ups. I don’t know what these are for but they certainly look cool.

Gizmodo highlights FStoppers and photographer Lee Morris’ latest endevour: to do a professional fashion photo shoot with an iPhone (3Gs) as their camera. This is impressive on multiple levels but the proof is in the pictures: take a peak and watch the video.
